Eshwarappa Appeals Governor to Solve 'Reddy Issue' Amicably
Mysore, May 19 (DHNS): State BJP President K S Eshwarappa requested Governor H R Bhardwaj to resolve the issue of Reddy brothers amicably without politicising it, on Tuesday.
Talking to the mediapersons he said governor is a part of the Legislature and any person holding that post should not indulge in politics, as it would amount to confrontation with the government.
“Mining and liquor lobby have been part of all the political parties and the governments that ruled the State. This is not new. I would not want to comment about the controversy surrounding the governor and the Reddy brothers, issue of notices and the use of language,” Eshwarappa added.
Due representation
Cabinet re-shuffle will be undertaken soon. The matter will be discussed with Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa soon. Efforts will be directed towards giving representation to all the districts in the re-shuffled Cabinet, said the State BJP President.
On Halappa issue, the BJP chief said the CID is investigating the matter. The party will initiate action against Halappa only if he is proved guilty.
