It is suspected that he was on his way to Bhatkal from where he hails and is also a relative of Riyaz Bhatkal, key man of the Indian Mujahideen. It is said that he was in Pakistan during and after the 26/11 attack and was one of the conspirators of the Mumbai attack. There was lookout notice served against Samad from past eight months for his alleged involvement in 26/11 attack.

In some cases police have detained, harassed and beaten wrong people at the same time many Muslims have supported with moral and material support to terrorists and criminals. Even today, many of the Muslims deny involvement in terrorists activigties however that is the truth. Riyadh Bhatkal is accused of terrorism perhaps might have committed and involved in other criminal activities.

His calculation has gone wrong as he chose to come to Mangalore on the immediate next day of the air crash. Mangalore immigration has been on alert even during plane crash and that is a great achievement. He is the accused and not convicted.

It looks like they are involved in the plane crash which happend two days back in Mangalore. They might have planned to distract the attention of the people and security and so that they can enter India.

I am puzzled to see some comments which are claiming someone as innocent and someone as criminal.

Afterall, let judiciary system take care of it. All that we could do is to understand the issues behind some activities whether it is terror, burglary, or politics or whatever so.

Best is to learn the lessons from others mistake and follow a good-path so that we dont follow the path which is seen as bad from others eyes (law, society or whomsoever related).

I am sure Daiji has no interest in following up this just because some of us directs them. But for sure when there is a news on this again, we would hear it from Daiji or whatever means.

Moral of the story is "Learn lessons from others mistake and be civilized". Any news that we come across is for our awareness

    Best,

Police are arresting mostly innocent people without any concrete proof and here the readers are suggesting to kill the arrested persons without any evidence ? How can we beleive that what police are saying is true ? Police are arrested many muslim youth on false cases earlier, even today many muslim youths are behind bars on Ajmer blast, Mecca Masjid blast and many other cases, but after that it came to know that Hindu terrorist were involved in that cases, but what happend, those innocent are still in the jail.

Regarding Bhatkal, it seems that police and Media are targetting muslim youths continously bcoz they knows that most of the youths are living abroad and they dont have time to file defamation case against police or Media people. The people who are living in the Gulf are coming back to India for a month holiday, how can they involve these types of activities ?

Dont jump to the conclusion that the arrested person is a culprit.Law will take its course and if he is guilty the maximum punishment should be given as per the law of our country. You know there are thousands of people from minority community especially young students perceving higher education who are langushing in jail without any charges against them just behind bars on suspicious ground and being muslim. If our reader recall the young people arrested in Hyderabad for Mecca Masjid blast and now we know very well who had hatched the conspiracy.Mr Jawahar you can donate one of your kidney to the needy ones and set the example for other people

Before that many innocent held on false charges hence proved innocent.Even in 26/11 attack court ruled two of suspect innocent as mumbai police failed to produce single evidence against them. Police unable to catch real culprit hence they fixing innocent people. When anybody arrested on terror charge media starts making assumption when they proved innocent no one care about them nd totally mum on issue. Just before 2 days 8 person released as innocent in 1997 tamilnadu blast case after serving so much year in prison for what they are not responsible. Terrorist should be hanged same time we have responsibility to save innocent to be arrested.

Good job done here by Police & Airport authorities. They are very careful now. Appreciated. He must have thought they may not notice, focus is on the tragedy. so can slip away easily. Our authorities are extra careful now even though they are sad, moaning & grief stricken.

Mr. N Kamath, I hope your extreme emotions made you say whatever you said. Believe me, a country that will punish in the way you said may be a country you don't want to live in. FYI there are such countries on the face of this earth which treats its subjects like that.

very very good work by the police and airport authorities. Mangalore is a peaceful place for civilised people. We certainly dont need uncivilised vultures. Please eradicate terrorists and uncivilised people irrespective of their fiath, party. affiliations, colour and ideologies. We need to restore the glory of our coastal karnataka. Mangalore should be in the news for good reasons and certainly not for bad reasons. Try him, if found guilty, please hand him along with Kasab.

I think the best thing to do with these terrorist's is to sell their body part's to the needy so that some of the loss which they done will be recovered.

All the consipirators and the terrorists should be tortured and killed. Giving them death sentance by hanging means finishing them royally.

No. Never. They should be tortured for over a period of time before killing them. Let the conspirators realise what they will get for commiting such henious crimes. Then only they will be scared to commit such crimes.
