Mangaluru: Janata Dal holds emergency meeting to prepare for gram panchayat elections

Mangaluru, Dec 9: An emergency meeting of the presidents of various Janata Dal secular units and their district Vidhan Sabha blocks was held to prepare for the upcoming gram panchayat elections. The meeting was presided over by district president B Mohammed Kunhi.

State JDS vice-president and veteran party leader M B Sadashiva was appointed as Dakshina Kannada district elections in-charge in the meeting. Former district panchayat vice-president Rajashree Hegde is appointed election observer for Beltangadi taluk. N P Pushparajan and Dinaker Ullal, Ullal municipal councillor is appointed election observer for Mangaluru block.
