Mangaluru, Dec 10: Preparations are going on in full swing to celebrate Christmas on a grand scale. A city-based concern, Paper Seed, has been making efforts towards turning this year's Christmas green. It has created Christmas trees, and things for decorations like snowmen, Santa Claus, bells, stars etc by using paper.

Nitin Vas of the concern explains that such an effort had been made on a small scale last year but the things created could not be fully marketed because of anti-CAA protests and such other things. "This time, we have put in more efforts and created bells, Santa Claus, stars etc with recyclable paper. A team of eight women led by Reena D'Souza is busy with this task," he stated.

He said that his concern has prioritised the celebration of all the festivals in an environmentally friendly way. He recalls that even during the Independence Day, Ganesha Chaturthi and Raksha Bandhan, his concern had undertaken measures which were environmentally friendly, duly adding that the same initiative has been continued in the case of Christmas.
