Mangaluru, Dec 15: It is gathered that the towing vehicle which carried the vehicles found violating traffic rules or parked in ‘No Parking’ zones away, itself did not have insurance and fitness certificates.

This vehicle has been moving around the city since the last several months. Officials who used to get seated in this vehicle and imposed fines apparently never checked the vehicle's documents. Now the violations by the vehicle used to discipline the violators has embarrassed the police officials.

A person, who was frustrated by the vehicle, checked the documents of the vehicle in the transport office and found that the vehicle was not following rules. It was not insured and did not have fitness certificate. The people now want the police officials to levy a penalty on the vehicle for moving around in violation of rules since about a year and prove that for them, everyone is equal.

After the defect in the vehicle's documents was revealed, the police have not used the vehicle since the last two days. In the meanwhile, the vehicle owner, it is learnt, renewed its insurance in a hurry.
