Udupi, Dec 17: Anamaya Yogesh Diwakar, a seventh standard student of Vidyodaya Public School here, has won the prize money of Rs 50 lac in the students’ week special edition of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' (KBC) which is hosted by legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan.
Vedantu Online had organized an online quiz from October 5 to 25 in its online learning app to choose the participants for the students’ special week. About 1.5 lac students in the age group of 10 to 14 years participated in the quiz. A thousand students were chosen in the first round. Out of them, an interview was held for 200 students with highest marks. In the final round of the reality game show, Anamaya was among the eight students to have been chosen.
Anamaya was the third contestant to enter the game show. He provided correct answers to 14 questions and chose not to attempt the 15th one which would have fetched him Rs one crore. He thereby won prize money of Rs 50 lac. The show was aired by Sony TV between December 14 and 16.
