Mangaluru, Dec 18: Police inspector KK Ramakrishna and staff of the city's economic and narcotic crime police station on December 16 had carried out a raid near Balmatta ground, Mission Compound road against a person who was trying to sell ganja.
The accused identified as Aksar Ali (22) son of Khasimsab from Sirsi in Uttara Kannada. The police seized 2.032 kg of ganja worth Rs 30,000, mobile phone worth Rs 500 and cash Rs 130. The total worth of all the seized item is said to be Rs 30,830.
The raid was conducted under the directions of Mangaluru police commissioner Vikash Kumar, under the guidance of DCPs Hariram Shankar and Vinay A Gaonkar.
