Bengaluru: Strange incident - Unknown person withdraws GP nomination papers

Bengaluru, Dec 21: In a strange incident which happened in Hennagara gram panchayat (GP) in Anekal taluk of the district, the nomination papers filed by a person for the gram panchayat election were withdrawn by an unknown person.

Siddesh, a local, had filed nomination papers for ward 1 of the gram panchayat reserved for general category male candidates. On the evening of December 19, he got information that his nomination papers were withdrawn. He immediately rushed to the panchayat office, but the electoral officials were not present there.

As the next day was a holiday, he contacted the officials over phone and was informed that his nomination papers had been withdrawn.

    There is no doubt something fishy. Electoral officer should be enquiry thoroughly and truth should be brought to public. He should have done it under pressure or bribe. How can another person can withdrawn nomination paper of some one else. However, all these things can happen under bjp rule .
