Mangaluru: Release of Children's Konkani music album rings in Christmas cheer

Mangaluru, Dec 21: A music album of children's Konkani songs (in audio CD format), bearing the title 'Fulchim Fulam - Bhurgyanchim Sumodhur Gitam', meaning 'Blooming Flowers - Children's Melodious Songs' has been released.

The album contains group songs by children.

Lyrics, melodies, orchestration and direction are by Clifford Leo D’Souza of Kadri, here.

Programming, recording and mixing have been executed by Shinoy V Joseph, Cad Media.

The CD was released by senior web journalist, media consultant and music critic, Richard Lasrado in the CAD media premises, Arya Samaj Road, Mangaluru, on December 21.

K Dinesh Rao, owner of CAD Media, Philomena Rita D’Souza, Metilda Lasrado, Shinoy V Joseph, Adolph Jayathilak and the young singers who lent their voices to the album, the children’s parents and many music lovers who supported the project in various ways were present on the occasion.

'Fulchim Fulam - Bhurgyanchim Sumodhur Gitam' has 14 catchy children's action songs, sung by 31 beautiful and talented children, besides Adolf Jayathilak, a seasoned singer from the city.

As this music album is being released when the feast of Christmas is approaching, a song (no 14) representing the festive spirit, has been added as bonus to the music-lovers.

The CD copies will be available at the venue soon after the release.

The project is not aimed at any profit, but solely to bring to light the talents of children, especially of those in rural areas who lack exposure and opportunities.
