Udupi, Dec 22: The division of Paediatric Haematology and Oncology of Kasturba Hospital, Manipal under the Manipal Comprehensive Cancer Care Center conducted the first national virtual CME of Paediatric Hematology and Oncology chapter of Indian Academy of Paediatrics on December 19 and 20. Dr H S Ballal, pro-chancellor of MAHE was the chief guest of the program. The meeting featured scientific talks from speakers from various reputed institutes like St Jude- Memphis, Emory University-Atlanta, University Hospital-Cleveland, Children's Hospital-Washington DC, Tata Memorial Hospital-Mumbai, AIIMS-New Delhi, PGI-Chandigarh etc.

The CME had registered 275 members and had a maximum login of 227. The dean of KMC, Dr Sharath Kumar Rao gave the welcome address and moderators for the CME for the first day were Dr Archana M V and Dr Vasudeva Bhat. Meanwhile, the day 2 moderators were Dr Ramitha Bhat and Dr Kalasekhar.
