Bengaluru, Dec 23: "The education department is making all preparations in the interests of the future of the children. The schools opening process will be a safe and smooth affair. As the time available is very less, SSLC and PU examinations will not be held in March 2021," clarified primary and secondary education minister S Suresh Kumar.

He was speaking during his participation in the interactive programme of a private news channel on Tuesday December 22.

"The curriculum would be finalised by duly taking care to make sure that the students are not unduly burdened. We will lay stress on minimum learning. Taking into account the educational needs of students of upper classes who have to appear for national level competitive examinations, a suitable decision will be taken in a few days, duly taking into account their teaching needs," he added.
