Madikeri: Paramour's hit takes away life of two-year old

Madikeri, Dec 23: In an incident which happened in the Kakoor colony of Srimangala gram panchayat near Gonikoppa on Tuesday December 22, a two-year-old boy died after the lover of his mother hit him hard. The police have arrested the accused.

The victim has been identified as Mani (2), son of Subramani and Geetha couple.

Subrahmani from Boodithittu and Geetha had married seven years back. Six months back, the couple had shifted residence to the line house of Kalayya in West Nemmale. Three months back, the couple fought with each other after which Subramani, in a fit of rage, left home with his seven year-old daughter, leaving behind his wife and two-year-old son. Geetha continued to live at West Nemmale.

Recently Geetha got to know Ravi from Kakoor village. She shifted residence to Kakoor colony and started to live with Ravi. On Monday night, Ravi fought with Geetha on the issue of her son and hit the boy hard. He also attacked Geetha with a stick thereafter.

The child which fell seriously ill after the hit, was admitted into hospital, but it breathed its last on Tuesday. Srimangala police have registered a case and arrested accused Ravi.
