Bengaluru: Thief steals 101 phones from BMTC window seat passengers

Bengaluru, Dec 26: A person, it has been found, always stole mobile phones from passengers who travel by Bangalore Metro Transport Corporation (BMTC) buses by occupying window seats. Ashoknagar police have arrested the man, who revealed that he always stuck to the plan to target the people on the window seats.

The thief in question, Mubarak, was apprehended by Devaraju, assistant sub-inspector of Ashoknagar station, who was on patrol duty. Two others who were with Mubarak at the time, succeeded in freeing. The accused was questioned after leading him to the police station, when he revealed his master plan.

The police have taken into possession 101 phones worth about five lac rupees from Mubarak. A case has been registered against Mubarak and his accomplices. The police are searching for the two accused who have fled.
