Chitradurga, Dec 27: A collision between a bus and a Cruiser vehicle which occurred near Bijikere in Molakakalmuru taluk of the district on Sunday December 27 morning resulted in the death of five persons on the spot.
It is said that the victims belonged to Lingasugur taluk of Raichur district.
The bus was moving to Lingasugur from Bengaluru when the said unfortunate accident happened.
Reports said that the Cruiser had workers who had come to their villages to cast their votes in the gram panchayat election.
Injured were shifted to a hospital at Ballari for treatment.
