Bengaluru: Religious belief, non-veg food - Former CM Siddaramaiah in controversy again

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Dec 28: Former chief minister (CM) Siddaramaiah courted controversy in the matter of religious beliefs and non-vegetarian food consumption.

Siddaramaiah had been to his native place on Sunday December 27 on the wake of gram panchayat elections. One of his fans reminded Siddaramaiah, who was having chicken meal, that it is Hanuma Jayanthi. In reply to his fan, Siddaramaiah said, "Do you know the date when Hanuma was born? If so, then celebrate his day or else eat chicken." This video has gone viral on social media.

Education minister Suresh Kumar expressed his outrage at the statement of Siddaramaiah indirectly and tweeted, "Leaders like this believe that insulting the belief of our land is secularism. Similarly, one more leader has asked for the birth certificate of Sri Rama."

Earlier, Siddaramaiah had courted controversy when publicly admitted that he had been to Dharmasthala after having a fish meal.

Food and God, A good relationship. Those who eat vegetarian food only can pray and visit temples.

Are we defining new HINDU concepts? Non-vegetarian people keep photographs/idols of gods at home, Now a new movement should start whoever eats non-veg cannot pray to any Hindu gods and others....
Please don't hurt others' feelings and leave everyone to follow their beliefs in their own way. Let them get punished if they wrong by GOD only, NOT by voter focussed politicians/parties and their followers.

Readers, such innocuous statements are definitely avoidable.... Even a dumb person, will hesitate to speak such gibberish in public !!! Siddaramaiah has literally jumped from the hot pan, into the raging fire !!! He should have relished such delicacies from within his own house... He will now have to seek a safe minority dominated seat, like his boss RaGa, who scampered from the backdoor entrance into parliament !!! This silly outburst, has sealed the revival of the dysfunctional INC dynasty, in Karnataka....

I am seriously getting doubt on Siddaramaiah statements he really wants to dissolve Congress more than present situation . That's the reason he keeps on giving these statements that hurt minority beliefs all time and guess he want to destroy DKS career too . And later ask in his constitution why I lost why did u people dint give me vote all . No doubt that you will loose in next election too even Congress .

Losing in ones own home constituency is like having his career in politics written off. When your own people boot you out, Its time to get lost from the scene. Unless you are previliged like RaGa to bank on another safe muslim constituency. No matter what you do, you are out.

All Human made theories and beliefs. God created all human beings and God never said eat particular things or be a vegetarian or non-veg. Believing or not believing is individual wish or choice. Only in India so many images of God. once gone from this world, gone for ever without controversial beliefs.

mohhamed, it is not Hindus who decided on triple talak, it is an elected government by passing a law according to the Indian constitution, the same constitution which u referred to say India is not a Hindu country, dont choose Indian constitution according to your requirement and choose your own religious rules wherever it suits you .

Siddhu’s intention is quite clear. It’s not to insult any gods. His only intention is to appease other communities. Earlier too he had publicly said that he visited Dharmastala after having fish meal and on another occasion he publicly expressed his desire to taste beef; not forgetting his bhagyas and jayantis.
