Mangaluru/Udupi, Dec 29: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 35 fresh coronavirus cases on Tuesday raising the tally to 32,818. Out of these, 373 cases are currently active.

A total of 4,57,223 samples have been tested. Out of which, 4,24,405 are negative.

As many as 34 people were discharged on Tuesday. A total of 732 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 18,733 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 19,94,178 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,028, including 7 fresh cases on Tuesday. Out of these, 66 cases are currently active. Of the 66 cases 40 are in home isolation and 26 are hospitalized. The recovery rate is 98.9%.

Over 2,82,777 samples have been tested so far, of which 2,59,749 have turned out negative.

As many as 7 patients were discharged on Tuesday. A total of 188 deaths have occurred so far.

Total patients under home isolation in the district are 13,341 and hospitalised are 9,680 out of which 13,297 and 9,470 recovered respectively. Four died under home isolation while 184 died at hospital.
