Mangaluru, Dec 29: An unsuccessful attempt to snatch the gold chain of a young girl is reported from Sainagar, Nadaru, Ullal police station limits late night on Tuesday December 29.

The girl was returning home after work when the men who arrived on a bike tried to pull the chain from the neck of the girl. The girl resisted when the robbers were trying to pull the chain. Her clothes tore and she suffered injuries on her neck.

In a similar incident, robbers reportedly had tried to pull a chain of a woman in Batnagar on Sunday evening. Fortunately the chain broke and fell to the ground. The robbers fled the scene. A police complaint is registered at Ullal police station.
