Mangaluru, Dec 31: In the light of the publication of the gram panchayat election result, state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel, addressed a press conference in the city on Thursday December 31.

Kateel said that this election has proved to be a highly successful one for his party as BJP-supported candidates have registered huge wins. He said that activists who fought the election were supported by his party and over 55 percent among them have come out victorious. He stated that 29,478 candidates supported by the BJP have won the election while 24,000 Congress members have come out victorious. He also stated that 18,825 JD(S) supported candidates have won while 9,753 other candidates have also got elected. He said that the BJP has spread to the nook and corner of the state as proved by this election, and that the concept of welfare state in villages has got full support.

"In several places, the people have rejected the Congress and supported the SDPI. The Congress has lost its traditional vote banks at many places. The people have rejected the goondaism and divisive politics of conspiracy indulged in by the Congress. The Congress has struggled even to save its deposit in some cases. The party had tried to inspire people to take on the government on the issue of APMC Act but the people have given their verdict. The result has come as befitting reply to all these questions," he stated.

Nalin said that the people have extended total support to the farm acts passed by Modi. He said that more youngsters are getting attracted towards the BJP and the people have been appreciative of the hard work done by the government during the coronavirus pandemic.

He further commented on the pro-Pakistani slogans raised at Ujire during the SDPI victory march, and said that the SDPI, intoxicated by its victory, has exposed its anti-national face. "We were under the impression the SDPI is not a party that believes in terrorism. The leaders should have controlled their party workers when they hailed our enemy country,” he said.

Nalin also said that it is clear now that all the activities of this party are anti-national and the government will take strong steps in this regard. He said that Popular Front of India and SDPI have been trying to cause unrest. He also mentioned that the Congress, which says that it has nothing to do with the SDPI, strikes understanding with that party leaders by meeting them at night.

Total support of people and hence no need to work. Burden people with tax, toll and squeeze wherever possible. No need of good roads, street lights and facilities to common people!

Despite being a BJP supporter,I dont like this guy for some reasons. But I hate to admit it that he is right. Congress is washed out and has made way for a new party. The gimmics of minority appeasement did not work.
