Ballari, Jan 1: Former wife of pastor Ravikumar (54), who recently married an engineering graduate aged 24, identified as Sunanda, accompanied by a number of women, handed over a complaint to district superintendent of police Saidul Adavat, seeking action against church pastor Ravikumar.
Ravikumar is a pastor of the Living Water Church here. Sunanda said she had married Ravikumar 17 years back and being unable to bear his harassment, she had divorced him on February 11 after which she has been living in a ladies hostel at Bengaluru. She said that Ravikumar's character is not good and he had brought several girls to the house even when she was living with him. "Whenever the issue was raised by someone, he used to threaten them by mentioning the names of a few rowdies," she said and sought custody of her two children who live with their father.
Another lady who came from Kurnool too has complained against Ravikumar. She said that a person named Raghu had led her to the church by telling her that a prayer meet was to be held there. She said that the pastor used to add liquor to the vine given in Lord's name after which the girls obeyed what he said. In the name of church and birthday celebrations, he collected huge amounts from many and used some physically, she stated. She said that the pastor had collected seven to eight lac rupees from her too.
Another lady stated that by promising to marry her, he had collected lacs of rupees.
