Mangaluru: Kulkulo musical evening held at Kalaangan

Mangaluru, Jan 4: Kulkulo, musical entertainment programme was held on Sunday January 3, at Kalaangan, traditional Konkani centre in the city.

The programme started with the ringing of the bell by Irene D'Souza, Konkani lyricist. Gurkar of Mandd Sobhann Eric Ozario and vice-president Naveen Lobo were present on the dais. Member Laveena Dante cooperated.

Later 14 songs, written and music composed by Lloyd Rego and Roshan D'Souza were sung by Shilpa Cutinha, Herald Tauro, Stephen Cutinha, Jason Lobo, Gavin Menezes, Anson Menezes, Manoj Crasta, Ria D'Souza and Lisha D'Silva.



Young talent group Offbeat Kaikamba, led by Vijay Rasquinha, sang a song. Students of Strummers music schools, trained by singer Shilpa Cutinha honoured Eric Ozario in a unique manner by singing a song in his praise.

Naach Sobhann group led by Rahul Pinto presented three dances. Roshan D'Souza Angelore (lead guitar), led musicians Melwin Fernandes (drums), Russel Rodrigues and Milton Braggs (keyboard), Arthur Lobo (bass guitar), Veekshith Mulki (tabla-dolak) and Ruben Machado (flute, saxophone).

The programme was compered by Lloyd Rego.
