Mangaluru: Miscreants set fire to saplings grown by school children

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (EP)

Mangaluru, Jan 4: The school children of Dakshina Kannada Higher Primary School, Narla Padil had been sowing saplings of fruits and coconut for several years now, however, the saplings were destroyed after some miscreants set fire to it. Although the saplings kept burning for some time, nobody bothered to douse the fire.

Durga Seva Samithi members here had requested for a compound wall earlier during the Jamabandi programme held in Talapady gram panchayat. The senior officials of the panchayat had also assured of making suitable arrangement soon. But, there has been no action since.

Given the lack of support from the concerned authorities, the Durga Seva Samithi members, Talapady, school children and local citizens have decided to campaign for their demands across party lines.

This happens every year at our cashew tree yard. Some miscreants put fire manly due to jealousy. We have lost most of the cashew and mango trees over the years and now only acacia trees are standing.

The dry grass which grows every year is make the life hell during the summer.

    |Dear Richard, i agree with you. These sheeps/ jackals have worn face of patriotism and chanting anti indian slogans + hoisting pak flag. These people are the real anti nationals who are followign their fore fathers boot licking policy from british tme. They never fought for independent india, and collaborated with british. What we can expect from these traitors. They praise our enemy country in public and put blame on others. They dont want peace between communities instead they need misunderstanding + fighting to continue in politics.
