Kundapur: Forgery case based on court order names tahsildar, 12 others

Kundapur, Jan 6: Based on an order issued by the court, a case stands registered in Kota police station against 13 people including the tahsildar, revenue inspector, surveyor, retired panchayat development officer, former president of the panchayat among others. They have been accused of forging the documents of a land which belongs to the relative of an advocate from here.

Advocate in question, B Avinash Shetty from Badabettu in Beloor village had filed private complaint in the court against Praveen Shetty Konabage, retired panchayat development officer, Veerashekhara, Jyoti Shetty, Satish Shetty Madiyana, Beloor panchayat former president, Karunakar Shetty, P S D'Souza, Srinivas Poojary, Rajagopal Adiga, surveyor, Beloor village accountant, revenue inspector and tahsildar have been named as accused in the complaint.

Avinash Shetty's maternal uncle, Bhujanga Shetty, owns land in Beloor village. The record of rights as per government records mentions the owner of the land as Karunakar Shetty, former president of Beloor panchayat. In a private complaint, the concerned had alleged that fake documents were created to usurp the land which otherwise should have gone to Beloor Badabettu higher primary school and Avinsh Shetty as per Kumki rights. The court which looked into the complaint, ordered filing of the case.
