London, Jun 11 (IANS): Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan's mother claims that her daughter's alcohol-monitoring bracelet was set off when somebody at the MTV Movie Awards spilled a drink on the actress.

The "Mean Girls" star was was ordered to wear the Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor (SCRAM) device last month after missing probation hearings related to drugs and drunken driving, reports contactmusic.com.

The anklet reportedly began flashing during an after party following the awards show in Los Angeles Sunday and a judge issued a bench warrant for Lohan's arrest.

However, the warrant was recalled after the star posted extra bail money and Lindsay was adamant she did nothing to trigger the gadget.

"She was at the MTV Awards and somebody spilled a drink on her leg, which must have set off the SCRAM bracelet. She has done absolutely nothing wrong and shouldn't have to wear the bracelet in the first place. She is doing absolutely fine," said her mother Dina.
