Kasargod: Labourer’s mortal remains found in pond

Kasargod, Jan 20: A labourer hailing from Uttar Pradesh was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a pond at Kunjathur, under Manjeshwar police station limits.

The deceased is identified as Anil Kumar. He was working at an electric pole manufacturing unit.

The mortal remains were found in a private pond in Ambithadi in the evening on Tuesday January 19.

As foul smell was emanating in the surrounding, the incident came to light. Police informed that injuries were found on the head of the victim. More information will be revealed only after post-mortem is conducted, said police.
