Bengaluru: Seniors should relinquish ministership, involve in party organizing - MLA Yatnal

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Jan 20: "Seniors in the party should relinquish minister positions and provide opportunity to others. They have to give more attention towards organizing the party," said Vijayapura MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal.

Speaking to the scribes in Vidhana Soudha, Yatnal said, "There should not be any opportunity for dynasty rule. The motto of PM Modi is to do away with dynasty politics. This is the motto of the party also. However, work in BJP is going against the wishes of PM Modi. Only one person from a house should get a position of power. The party has to work according to the motto of PM Modi. I will write a letter in this regard to state and national presidents of BJP. This should be implemented strictly. My concern is to realize the ambition of PM Modi."

Reacting to the silence of MLAs who were disappointed after the cabinet expansion, Yatnal said, "Some MLAs got frustrated after the cabinet expansion. I do not know who is pacified by whom. There is one power which pacifies all. That power has pacified all."

On the question of Renukacharya complaining to BJP high command about him, Yatnal said "I am not aware of Renukacharya complaining about me. I do not know in whose favour he speaks or about whom."

Yatnal concluded by saying, "Who has given minister positions to MLAs in the state? Who is the one who has committed that error? Central leaders have not interfered in cabinet expansion. CM was given complete independence to decide. He has done the expansion. I will speak about this with the concerned people when the time comes."

    I agree.

There should be cooling period system where a MLA/MLC who is minister for 10 years should take a cooling period of 10 years.
Or bring a upper age limit.

This will give opportunity for young.

MLA/MLC becoming ministers for 25 to 30 years will block others opportunity.

well said, but who will implement? - work to bring in a law for mandatory retirement in politics at age 60 years. anyway, BJP loves unilateral moves - make this too unilaterally.
