Mangaluru, Jan 22: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal condemned rising cases of anti-social activities and warn for protest.
Addressing media here on Friday January 22, district secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Shivanand Mendon said, “We have witnessed several anti-social activities taking place in the district. Police, Hindu community, women and Hindu religious places have been targeted and there is an atmosphere of fear in the society. Graffiti issue, attack on police constable, pro-Pakistan sloganeering at Ujire, pouring petrol on bus driver, and harassment of women are the recent incidents in the district which should not be repeated.
“We will stage protest against the anti-Hindu activities at religious places in Ullal. On January 25, VHP and Bajrang Dal will stage protest at Thokkottu,” he said.
District president VHP Gopal Kutthar, regional convenor Bujanga Kulal, district convenor Puneeth Attavar and others were present.
