Mangaluru: Security guard falls from building’s sixth floor, loses life

Mangaluru, Jan 26: In a tragic incident that occurred on late night of Monday January 25, at Hasan Chambers building, opposite Yenepoya Medical & Dental College, at Deralakatte, a security guard died after he fell from the sixth floor of the building.

The deceased is identified as Sathish (38), a resident of Kuthar Majaluthota. He attended the duty in the evening of Monday and had gone to the sixth floor to inspect the elevator. While inspecting, he lost his balance and fell from the sixth floor.

Sathish, who was grievously injured on his head, died on the spot due to the impact of the fall. It is said that the deceased ignored the precaution of danger given by his colleague and went to inspect the elevator.

Konaje police station visited the spot and investigated further.

    Something fishy here. There should be barricade on 6th floor, if there are no barricades means safety violation from builder. May his soul rest in peace. Proper inquiry should be demanded by the deceased family.
