Bantwal: National flag hoisted 195 ft in air on occasion of Republic Day

Bantwal, Jan 26: The 72nd Republic Day was celebrated across the country with much fervour.

Honouring the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect a national flag was hoisted at a height of 195 ft by the means of a crane in front of Mini Vidhana Soudha here on Tuesday, January 26.

The Gajalaxmi crane through which the flag was hoisted belonged to Vijayalaxmi Steel.



The enormous flag was 18 ft wide and 32 ft long.
