Mangaluru/Udupi, Jan 27: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 14 fresh coronavirus cases on Wednesday raising the tally to 33,667. Out of these, 258 cases are currently active.

A total of 5,17,286 samples have been tested. Out of which 4,83,619 are negative.

As many as 30 people were discharged on Wednesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 32,670.

A total of 739 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 28,071 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 29,30,880 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,288, including five fresh cases on Wednesday. Out of these, 38 cases are currently active.

Over 3,31,343 samples have been tested so far, of which 3,08,055 have turned out negative.

As many as eight patients were discharged on Wednesday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 23,061.

A total of 189 deaths have occurred so far.
