Udupi, Feb 4: The results for the most-awaited Udupi Youth Congress elections was announced on Thursday, February 4. Deepak Kotian was elected as president of Udupi district Youth Congress Committee. He won the election with 1,186 votes. Similarly based on the total votes, Vishwas Amin elected as vice president. He received 698 votes.

Nataraj Holla, Mohammad Salam, Krishna Shetty and Pradeep S have been elected as general secretaries. They received 42, 32, 19 and seven votes respectively.

Out of a total of 2352 votes, 140 voters did not cast their vote while 228 votes were rejected.

The elections were held online on Tuesday, January 12. Deepak Kotian, the president of Karkala block youth Congress is at the forefront of social works and organizing the party.

In addition, he has attracted the attention of everyone by getting highest votes in the gram panchayat elections that were held recently in which Congress regained power in Karkala legislative constituency.
