Mangaluru, Feb 9: The eco commission of the Apostolic Carmel management organised a ‘Go Green – Grow Green' herbal garden for all the schools that come under the Karnataka province.
The competition was announced in October 2020. The closing day of the competition was January 15. The aim of the competition was to launch into the green journey and relish the fruits of our hands and maintain better health.
Under the able guidance of the principal, Sr Maria Gracilda AC, the school showed that inspite of the obstacles and hurdles of the pandemic, they have proved beyond limit the very challenges put forward and bagged the first place. The school fraternity, unitedly with the principal, vice-principal Sr Meera AC and co-ordinator Sr Sweedal Fernandes AC enthusiastically worked to produce a good number of 125 herbs within the limited space available in the school campus. Botanical names of the herbs and their health benefits were made known to the students. The greenery provided by the school is indeed appealing to the eyes of the onlooker.
