Chamarajanagar, Feb 12: The district and sessions court here, which also happens to be the special designated court for cases under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), awarded sentences to three persons including a father-son duo on Thursday February 11 in a case pertaining to teasing and harassing a school girl.

The two ran away, leaving behind their motorbike. The next day, Anand's father, Madappa, came to the spot, hurled abuses at the girl and her mother, besides posing death threat.
Judge of the court, Sadashiva S Sultanpuri, who conducted the hearing, sentenced Anand and Nagendra to six months each of jail terms apart from a fine of Rs 5,000 each. Madappa has been found guilty of indirectly supporting his son's wrongdoing, and therefore has been given a sentence of one year and a fine of Rs 10,000.
