Bantwal: ‘Chittara–Mangalore’ Hosts ‘Bhava Ninada’ Programme

Bantwal, Jul 4: “Self-respect and a positive attitude can lead one to achieve success in life”, said Ganesh Rao, founder chairman, city-based Karavali Group of Education Institutions.
Rao was speaking after inaugurating ‘Bhava Ninada’ organized by ‘Chittara–Mangalore’, a group of like-minded people interested in arts, literature and social welfare at Mudipu, here on Sunday July 4.
“Love towards brethren and self-respect are essential for an individual. The difficulties, if taken as challenges, bring out the best in us. The social values get a boost from social service. Patience is a virtue that ought to be developed for peaceful co-existence”, he added.
Walter Nandalike, editor-in-chief, Daijiworld.com, presided over the programme.
Zilla panchayat member A C Bhandary, Corporation Bank general manager B R Bhat, Bantwal taluk panchayat vice president Chandrahas Karkera, Balepuni gram panchayat president Chandrahas Alva, folklore scholar Dr Koila Balepuni and senior photographer Yajna were the chief guests on the occasion.
Prizes were presented to the state-level photography contest winners Madhusudan Mysore (first), Challakere Nisarga Govind Raju (second), Shivakumar Swamy (third), Muralidar Puttur, Hemanath Padubidri, Subraya Nayak Yekkar, Aishwarya Bijady, and Tilakkumar Attavar (consolation prizes).
Scholarships were distributed to 14 talented and needy students of the district on the occasion.
Award winning cameraman Ravi Posavanike was honoured during the programme.
Organizer A Krishna Bhat welcomed the gathering while Chandrashekar Patoor delivered the introductory address.
The photography exhibition of photojournalists Govindraju, Chandrashekar, Satish Ira, and Daijiworld cameraman Daya Kukkaje were also held on the occasion.
‘Swati Sangeeta’ musical troupe presented patriotic songs after the stage programme.
