Panaji, Mar 6: In two separate raids conduted over three days by the crime branch of Goa police, 10 kg of ganja was seized and two arrested.
Upon receiving information that two persons, one is each district had smuggled the drugs into the state, the police constituted separate teams to carry out the raids in both the disticts.
Rajesh alias Raju Devar (38) was arrested on March 1 with the possession of five kg ganja at Margao. It was found that Rajesh had procured the narcotic for the purpose of sale locally and to tourists in South Goa.
In the second case, Pandurang Pakhare (48) was arrested after he was caught with nearly 4 kg of ganja at Mapusa bus stand.
FIR was lodged for both the cases separately.
