Mangalore: Police Seize Heroin Worth Rs 2 Crore; Arrest Four

Mangalore, Jul 8: Police arrested four men in Ullal, near here, on Thursday July 8 for transporting heroin in a car.
Speaking to Daijiworld, circle inspector Simon said that the arrested have been identified as Hasain R, Rafeeq, Manoj, and Gangadhar, who hail from Kasargod. They were caught red-handed with 2 kgs of heroin in the car they were in on Thursday evening.

Sources said that the NDC-CID team had been watching the movements of the accused for the past one month.
The team zeroed in and arrested all the four through a secret operation where cops went to the spot posing as drug peddlers.
The team also confiscated a car, four mobile handsets and cash about Rs 2,000 from the accused. NDC-CID Inspector C A Simon led the team which includes Head Constable Krishna, constables Vasanth, Harish Padavinangadi, Ashoka and Naveen Kumar.
The investigation is still on to ascertain whether the four are part of an organized group and who the others involved in this deal are.
