It can be recalled here that the new terminal building was inaugurated on May 15.

Most important to passenger is Safety. Did the authorities opened their eyes wide open or did they chose to close their eyes. What is the runway length right now, did they extend it? What will happen if due to bad weather pilot lands at mid runway which happens all the time at airports all over the world. Do they have options, alternatives to safety?? Probably no one wants to respond to this need. I foresee problems to come up sooner or later by operating international flights. Good Luck.

Finally we will have New Modern Airport. Air travellers to and from Mangalore Airport should brace themselves for long delays on operations new terminal. Our airport is still declaed customs airport. Civil aviation minister Mr. Praful Patel must strongly propossed to 'Mangalore Intenational Airport" instead of Mangalore Airport. Runway should be increased upto ten thousand feet length, so that planes as big as Airbus A320 or A330 can easly land and takeoff. Also allow foreign airlines to International opetions. Also kindly consider employing local Kannada speaking people in the airport like other states. Thanks Mr. Vasudeva for your hardwork and leadership. God Bless you.

New Airport Terminal but what about the run-way is it the same old table-top or is there going to be any change or improvement done on it?

After the major accident people are scared to take Bajpe flight. Is there anyway the government has tried to ease the fear of the passengers? if so we would like to know what improvement has taken place on the run-way.

Good news. With the commissioning of new terminal, Indian Aviation should take initiative for operating flights to and from Saudi Arabia.
Also, glad to know the old airport terminal will be used to handle cargo. Would anybody clarify if it is commercial cargo or personal air cargo clearnce. It would be nice, if we NRIs have the facility to send air cargo directly to our home airport.
