Smart you are ! Good suggestion but to do all such clever moves I need to born again grow up by that time you would be quite old. If that is the case some one else may replace you (kidding) Now my age is to only glorify old memories and whisper all the names of flowers, goddesses,, so on . Life is a process yesterday, today and limited tomorrow. Not for ever. Bit late and bit early to avoid not being noted by any known people and not by the fear of moral police or bajrang daal. Because they were not there those days.🙍‍♀️🏃‍♀️💃🕺 What your experience says?

James Lobo, She suddenly jumped in front of the bus and driver had no clue. What does that mean ? A deliberate act ? Now police have to investigate and come to conclusion, whether intentional or accidental case

Flavian, no ones deliberate act. James is right and he writes what he had seen... Poor girl was hurrying i think and driver had no clue. Suddenly, he too cant do anything. In his bus, passengers must be full. All will be at risk...Always give way to the running vehicles and be at safer side....Why to enter late and come out early from theatre? Fear of neighbors? Dont worry ...now you have smart phone...please go ahead

Kindly know the situation first and give your comments. We were the witness to the accident there. It wasn't the driver's fault. She suddenly jumped in front of the bus and the driver had no clue. Anyhow, a life is lost, and let's all pray for the departed soul

Flavian, to send messages and to talk to bfs, roads/footpaths/zebra crossings are best to maintain privacy and not home and office. Home...family members watch and at office....colleagues will liste. .now got it Hat hill Flavian ? Here also busy areas, market areas, school zones buses wont ply at speed. People cross freely....Such things happen in the mid of the road. Really sad....lost one precious life. Om shanthi Pavithra

Cynthia, Kirem "Very true....talking on the mobile and checking the messages while walking" Very very unfortunate to read/send messages while walking on foot paths ,on zebra crossing, so many have met with serious accidents. Some even watch their make up ! some may fix after office appointment which park, which movie or ice cream parlor.

Cynthia, Kirem "Flavian, when you see a bus is at over speed, cant they wait for the bus to pass. God has given two beautiful eyes.....your safety is in your hand" Yes, we can say fault on both sides. but when there is rush hours vehicle drivers must yield to peoples needs. In Kuwait at very important junction in busy market and shopping area people cross whenever there is bit gap in vehicular flow and pedestrians take a chance cautiously and vehicle driver never speed up rather allow people to cross with out stress. Its a give and take respect. (there is no signal and public got so used to the flow)

I see most comments blaming only the bus driver as if they were eye witnesses to the incident. Isn't there a possibility of the pedestrian being at fault? Jay walking is very common everywhere. Let the investigation take place and the truth come out before labelling people.

Haha . Have you seen any pedestrian crossings in Mangalore and if so have you noticed how the buses never wait for anyone to cross the road and stop their vehicles on the pedestrian crossing!!!!! Just commenting without knowing the facts is not acceptable.

RTO is not following the world standard rules. Public Carriers are overspending and driving rashly. On the NHs the overloaded slow moving trucks are occupying the 1st lane (fast track). Neither the RTO nor the NGOs are correcting them. The city bases don't stop in their respective bus stops but at the junctions and middle of the road. Who will tie the bell?

Mangalore Traffic police are doing their job perfectly well when it comes to 2 wheeler but we fail to understand why they close their eyes on heavy vehicles and private buses... we request the higher authorities to take strick action against all who dont follow the traffic rules....

For rash driving 99% conductor is responsible. He is pressurizing driver to go fast... have seen kunjathbail 1 no. Bus. Always thorpule thorpi dialogues he is telling. Anymore anything happens first needs to cancel conductor license.

As usual the bus driver would have run away from the scene, will appear before the xourt in a few days, get a bail, start driving reckkessly once again and the game begins. Who the next victim is going to be. And the cops will go their way, tue city administration will still go one debating the next election and we will be arguing about bjp congress and janata dal and lo, life goes on. Except for the family.

We want educated and literate drivers. If administration nationalize the private buses, we can save more lives. Mobile signal zammer must install in all city and service buses. Time keeping is main causes for accidents. Pedestrians can't judge the speed of these buses. Speed governer also another way to control these buses.

Day started with murder, accidents & death news. Most of the vehicles (drivers) seem to be racing to overtake rival company busses or are impatient to slow down to allow commuters to cross the roads safely. Every one cannot run or fly to other side and drivers must stop and also caution vehicles behind to slow down or stop.
