Mumbai: Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Gurunarayana Night High School Kicks-off

Mumbai, Jul 25: The Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Gurunarayana Night High School, promoted by the Billavara Association was inaugurated at Billava Bhavan auditorium, Santacruz (East), here on Saturday July 24.

Mahesh Shetty, managing director of M T Education Private Limited was the chief guest. M B Kukyan, honorary editor of ‘Akshaya’ monthly bulletin of Billavara Association presided. Rajesh Shetty, vice- president of M T Education and Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited CEO B K Amin were the guests of honour.

Billavara Association honorary president Y Nagesh, vice- presidents L V Amin, Nityanand D Kotian and C T Salian, honorary chief treasurer Uday S Salian, Women wing president Jayanti V Ullal, Alumni Association president Krishna B Poojary, secretary Vasant N Suvarna were present on the dais.
Dayanand Salian (Sa Daya), the play-wright of Kannada TV serial ‘Narendraninda Vivekananda’ contemporary moral teachings for the youth, was felicitated.

Guru Narayan High School Betterment Committee president Bannanje Ravindra Amin welcomed the gathering. Ramachandrayya C proposed the vote of thanks. Billavara Association honorary chief secretary Jyoti K Suvarna compered the programme.

The students entertained the gathering with variety of cultural performances. Student leader Ganesh Poojary, former principals S R Rao, M R Hosakote and Dr Vani Ucchilkar, teachers and large gathering of students were present.
