Mangalore: Stan Nite Provides a Treat to Connoisseurs of Music

Mangalore Aug 16: St Vincent De Paul Society, Cascia here, had organized Stan Nite at Don Bosco Hall, Mangalore, on Sunday August 15.
The programme began at 6.00 pm. It was presided over by St Rita church parish priest, Fr Vincent V Menezes. Rich tributes were paid to legendary Konkani singer, the late Wilfy Rebimbus, before the show unfolded before a large gathering. Stany Mendoca from Sunderland, UK, performed at the Nite.
Joesph Mathias, Merit Freight Systems LLC Dubai, released ‘Yego Pisolya’, the second volume of Stan Melodies, rendered by Stany Mendonca.
Singer, Stany Mendonca, and his wife, Jyothi Mendonca, were honoured by Fr Vincent V Menezes on this occasion.
Stany Mendonca, Rony D’Cunha, Anitha Samson, Ashvija, Joseph Mathias and Rony Crasta cast a magical spell on the audience through their rich rendering of songs during the musical nite. The listeners were treated to some of the most heartening performances that held them captivated throughout the programme.
A team of Indian Catholic Youth Movement presented a dance performance, while ‘Pokri Kalakar’ troupe presented a skit and jokes, which were also thoroughly enjoyed by the people.
Daijiworld editor-in-chief, Walter Nandalike was the chief guest during the occasion. Sudeep Castelino, vice-president, parish council, Cascia was also present on the dais.
