Bengaluru, Jun 1: Addressing a press meet here on Monday May 31, leader of the opposition, Siddaramaiah, mocked the Prime Minister by saying that Modi's only achievement is taking the country on the fast-track of reverse gear, leaving it 70 years backward.
He pooh-poohed at the BJP leaders for celebrating seven years of Modi government with empty pitchers at a time when the country is covered in a pall of gloom. The people in general have offered their condolences instead of celebrating. "Modi's tenure has been a term of innumerable disasters. We can list out thousands of falsehoods and the BJP is a huge industry that produces scores of lies, “he said.
Siddaramaiah said that a family which spent Rs 5,000 a month in 2019 now has to spend Rs 11,000. "Poor families are compelled to sell their jewellery to run the family. Big industrialists are reaping the benefit. Modi has overtaken Trump in telling lies. Modi who sold factories built by the people to others has become a factory of lies. BJP workers are confessing that the slogan, 'Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas' coined by Modi is a bundle of lies," he stated.
