Mangaluru: Congress distributes ration kits to members of photographers’ association

Mangaluru, Jun 2: Former MLA J R Lobo distributed ration kits to the members of South Canara Photographers’ Association Mangaluru zone on Tuesday June 1 at Chaaya Bhavana in Kadri.

Lobo said, “Photographers are self-employed and many among them are not in good financial position due to the lockdown. Since two years, various events have been suspended due to the pandemic which has affected the livelihood of the photographers. Some are economically very poor. The government has relaxed the lockdown for industries but not for studios which has led to this problem. Congress has come forward to help them and respond to their problems.”

Photographers association president Madhu Mangaluru, Block Congress president Prakash Salian, district Congress office bearers Stany Alvares, T K Sudhir, Neeraj Pal, Congress leaders Ramananda Poojary, Asif Jeppu, Savan S K, Ashok, Aston, Shawn D’Souza, Laxman Shetty, Uday Kunder, Yashwanth Prabhu, Photographer associations Srikanth, Vittal Chowta, Jagannath Shetty, Harish Adyar, Ajay and others were present.
