Bantwal, Jun 2: "We have distributed grocery kits to the priests and staff of 'C' grade temples under the Muzrai department. Also, we will distribute the grocery kits to the priests who are under distress and do not fall under the ambit of C grade temples," said Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik on Wednesday June 2.
He was speaking after distributing grocery kits from 'A' grade temple Panolibail Shri Kallurti Daivasthana of Muzrai department to the 26 temples' priests and staff in the taluk." Grocery kits were distributed to several priests and staff of temples under the initiative of minister Kota Srinivas Poojary," Rajesh Naik said.
"The initiative will be taken to help 'Daiva Narthaka'. In several places, Nemostava was held. We are also considering providing wages to Daiva Narthaka where Nemostava is not held," Rajesh Naik said.
State Religious Charitable and Endowment Dharmika Parishad member Kashekodi Suryanarayana Bhat said, "We are also planning to provide grocery kits to priests and staff of 'B' grade temples."
