Mr. Gopal Hasur leaves behind wonderful memories. He was very much loved by the officers in the department and the public too. I have known him as an efficient officer always willing and ready to help any one who needed his assistance. He is blessed with great qualities of heart and mind. Kind and good to the upright people and strict with people if need be.

Mr. Hasur's departure leaves a void in the hearts of several of his friends including me.

Gopal Hasur. You are going to Bangalore with our good wishes and blessings. May your tenure over there be a happy and fruitful one.

Is he getting a transfer or has he retired? It is very rare to get such officers. The organisers have rightly held this function. If he is transferred, the new place will benefit from his leadership. If he has retired, please ensure that his services are available to the common people.
I fondly remember a similar situation. There was a driver in the Manjunath bus from Udupi to Sooda. This driver would blow horn at strategic points to alert people so that they could come to the road to get into the bus. If he saw from far someone running towards the bus, he would stop the bus, till the passenger got in. Very polite, humble and yet an efficient driver. May God Bless him wherever he is.
