Mangalore: Mohandas Prabhu Elected KCCI President

Mangalore, Aug 28: G G Mohandas Prabhu was on Friday August 27, elected as the 48th president of Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) for the year 2010-11. The election was held at the 69th annual general body meeting (AGM) of the chamber held in the city.
Prabhu has earlier functioned as the vice president of KCCI and president of Kirana Merchants Association.
The other office bearers elected at the meeting are, Lata R Kini (vice president), B Chandrakant Rao (treasurer), Mohammed Amin, Arjun and L A Pinto (honorary secretaries).
K Surendra Prabhu M, Aziz Ahmed, Vishwanath Kadri, A G Pai, Nigam B Vasani, Jeevan Saldanha, Rammohan Pai Maroor, Nitte Yatiraj Shetty, M Ganesh Bhat, P B Abdul Hamid, Sunil Pai and C Nirmala Kamath were elected as the members of the executive committee of KCCI at the AGM.
