Mangalore: Team from City's Boy Zone Academy in India's Got Talent Quarter Finals

Mangalore Aug 31: The boys from Boy Zone, dance school in Baikampady here have made it to the quarter finals of ‘India’s Got Talent’ - Season 2 being aired in Colors channel. The programme will be telacast on Friday September 3 from 9.00 pm to 10.30 pm.
Addressing presspersons on Monday August 31, Prasanna Kumar sought the support of the people from the state and district through voting by sending SMS to BZ to 56882 as the selection is purely based on the voting. "Our district is not short of talent, but encouragement. Whereas the people from other states and districts come out as toppers in various competitions on television through encouragement from public of their region through voting, the Mangalorean talent lack such support from the public here for whatever reasons, he regretted and called on the public here to help the local talent shine at the national level.
"Dancers from our dance academy have won many a taluk-level, district-level, state level and national level competitions and have distinction of participating in Boogie-Woogie, dance show in Sony for as many as six times. The dance performance by the dance troupe from our academy at the Gang War competition at this year's Boogie-woogie competitions has been most satisfying. Our team has also won Best of the Boogie Woogie team participating in the finals, he added. Our troupe has performed nationwide in places such as Kerala, Mumbai, Goa and Mysore. The talent that have been trained in various genre of dance in our academy have been appreciated wherever they have been performed, he said.
About Boy Zone
The dance academy was started by four brothers Prasanna Kumar, Kishore Kumar, Chetan Kumar and Deekshit Kumar 14 years ago at Kulai and now it has been functioning in Bantwal Chambers at Baikampady here from past five years. The academy also conducts dance class in Panambur apart from visiting various schools, colleges and organizations including NMPT of the taluk. The academy has been striving to bring out the talent among children in the region.
Kishore Kumar, Chaethan Kumar and Deekshith Kumar were also present.
