Bengaluru, Jun 23: The high court has dismissed an application made by the father of a lady who has been claiming that she was the victim of sexual exploitation involving former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi. He had approached the high court with a request to quash a certified statement she had recorded in the presence of a magistrate.
The special public prosecutor representing the special investigation team appointed to probe the case argued that the petitioner does not have the right to question the statement that was made in the presence of the magistrate. The special public prosecutor requested the high court to dismiss the petition. The high court upheld this request and quashed his petition.
