Bengaluru: DC, SP to be held responsible for Covid rule violations - Minister K Sudhakar

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jun 29: State minister for health and family welfare, Dr K Sudhakar, said that he will hold discussions with the chief minister and take suitable steps to hold the deputy commissioners (DC) and superintendents of police (SP) of the respective districts responsible if Covid-19 rules are not strictly adhered, and violations are noticed.

Speaking to media persons here, the minster observed that Covid precautionary measures are not being properly implemented at a few places in the state. "People have been violating Covid guidelines. After unlock was declared, people have, in many places, started to move around without wearing masks. From Monday, hotels and marriage halls have been allowing organization of functions, and these functions are attended by hundreds of people. I will speak to the chief minister and chief secretary besides the home minister, and take steps as may be necessary to hold the deputy commissioners responsible for these violations,” Sudhakar explained.

Sudhakar said that permission to hold marriage functions in halls was permitted as houses cannot accommodate more people. "But this this concession is being misused. People have also been crowding the hotels and restaurants in excess of rules. Therefore, those who violate Covid rules will face heavy fines," he warned.

The minister observed that 24.37 lac students are pursuing higher education in the state. "From Monday, we have started to vaccinate them. We are taking steps to vaccinate parents of children below ten years of age. In a couple of days, I will visit Delhi and hand over a memorandum to the central government seeking to allocate more vaccines to Karnataka. Once the vaccination process is over, we will open schools," he stated.

Sudhakar said that even though education of the children is very important, the government does not take any hasty decisions involving them, as the health of children is of paramount importance. "We will tread cautiously. Even though there is no clue when the second corona wave will subside, I guess it might happen in a week. We have to wait till July 5. All India Institute of Medical Science director has written, recommending to relax lockdown in phases. For totally lifting the lockdown, 70 percent of the people will have to be vaccinated first," he stated.

Sudhakar said that it will not be possible to vaccinate ten lac people in Karnataka every day. However, he said three to five lac people are vaccinated on a daily basis and the vaccine supply is being supplied constantly. The government is committed to vaccinate all before the end of December," he asserted.

Finally blame rests with people who suffered more due to illogical lockdowns and depriving people to earn their livelihood for an ordinary flu like illness with recovery rate of 99.997% . Stop acting like taking care of people's health based on fake tests and asymptomatic spreading the infections lies. Who framed enforced vaccinations to students or people under which country law? Who guarantees the vaccines work? Will the minister file an affidavit based on vaccine industry claims which isn't proven by any third-party study. Lancet Peer reviewed study found only 1or 1.3 % of the time they provided immunity. Last year those colleges which were open didn't cause any spikes in infections. Some PU colleges were open until lockdowns were reimposed proving children and adults are never in any danger without vaccines. When will he start a Fund to compensate and look after the treatments of any students in case unproven (no long term double blind study ) vaccines cause injuries and deaths? Time to let people exercise Informed Vaccine Choice instead of dictatorship like illogical unscientific orders.

Then who is responsible for booking Tejasvi Surya for dining in restaurant??? U cant achieve 70% vaccination without providing abundant free vaccine in PHC's. Hardly any vaccine available in govt phc whereas vaccines by the hundreds available in private hospitals. This itself reflects your govts performance

First, you and your government should be held responsible, for the lack of planning, failure in implementation in preventive measures, and now putting the blame on the trained IAS officers. Did you provide them sufficient resources, logistic support. Mr. Minister, do you have proper Planning schedule. If yes, did you provide them to the concerned officials. Hats off to the police personnel and all the health ground level workers, who have risked their life, worked last 18 months, day and night , without any break .

Nobody wants to admit their failures, they want to put the responsibility on their subordinate. This bad system starts from Delhi. PM failed to control the Corona virus, vaccines , he put the responsibility on each state CM. Now he has put the responsibility on health minister, he transfer his responsibility on DC and SP. now they transfer to each district health officials and corporations Commissioner. blaming game is going on. Sufferers are citizens. We need educated and literate representatives to lead the country.

We need responsible and law binding citizens as well who should be ready to own the responsibility if he/she gets infected rather blaming the PM of our country.

Very good decision. DC and SP are the only two people who can control the crowd in a district, if they intend to. They have enough man power too. SP should direct his personnel to stop crowding in markets and buses. See the KSRTC city buses today. No police, no Dc , no SP!!!! Government should suspend the DC and SP if the covid numbers go up.
