Kuwait: Pius Nagar Parish Feast - 2010 Held

Kuwait, Sep 13: Pius Nagar Welfare Committee Kuwait (PWCK) organized its annual parish feast at Indian Public School Salmiyah here on Saturday September 11.

Celebration started at 7pm with Introduction by master of ceremony, the prayer by Saritha Quadras, secretary. Sunil Menezes, president welcomed the chief guests and all the parishioners along with more than 200 gathered guests and well-wishers.

The children welcomed the chief guests, Fr John Harry D’Souza, parish priest of Ahmadi Church, Kuwait, Nancy Menezes, KVWA president and Rony D’Cunha, Kuwait Konkan Kogul with flowers.

All the sponsors and participants were honoured by Fr John Harry D’Souza.

Fr D’Souza praised PWCK members' dedication towards the Pius Nagar parish. Nancy Menezes was thankful to all the PWCK members, who kept the committee move on with unity. Kuwait Konkani Kogul Rony D’cunha appreciated the great work carried out by PWCK. He also praised Mother Mary through his beautiful voice by singing “Moriye Chrisha Maye” and “Somyak Dinvasunya”.

Praveen Menezes read the annual report.

As part of entertainment programme, dances by Venessa, Taniya, Stacey, Carol, Denica and song by Priyanna enthralled all. Number of games for children and adults were conducted during the event. Prizes were distributed to all the winners in different games.

Ramy Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks. The prayer was rendered by Louis and Freeda D’Costa. M&M caterers Salmiyah provided the meals for the evening. Rocking music was played by DJ Roshan.
