Puttur: Cheating of Rs 26 lac relating to tender - Case against four

Puttur, Jul 22: A, case has been filed in the town police station here against four persons who have been accused of cheating the complainant to the extent of Rs 26 lac by promising to win him a tender of CSD canteen worth Rs 1.5 crore.

The persons who have been accused in the case are Mayank Tiwary, Nitish Kumar, Raj Raghav and Harikesh Tiwary. The victim of this cheating case happens to be B K Srinivas Rao, owner of Poornima Ayurvedic Soap Industries at Purushakatte here.

It is said that the four persons named in the complaint had promised to get the tender allotted to Rai, besides ensuring Rs 30 lac business every month on their own to the canteen. They also had promised to find out sellers for the products all over India. The amounts were paid to the accused on different dates from December 30, 2010 to May 19, 2021. Rao said that so far they failed to get any agreements signed or return the money so collected.
