Azam Khan, Key Witness in Sohrabuddin Case Shot


Udaipur, Sep 14 (PTI): Azam Khan, a key witness in the Sohrabuddin fake encounter case was today shot at by two motorcycle-borne persons near Udai Sagar Lake here, a senior police official said. 

Khan, 38, received bullet injuries in his left arm, SP Sanjeev Narzari told PTI on phone.

He was admitted to a government hospital here and his condition is stated to be out of danger, the SP said.

Khan was with his friend at the lakeside when the incident occurred, Narzari said.

The miscreants fled after firing two rounds. Khan's friend was unhurt.

Over a dozen policemen, including IPS officers, have been arrested for the 2005 fake encounter killing of Sohrabuddin Sheikh, an alleged gangster. Former Gujarat minister of state for home Amit Shah is also an accused in the case.

    Only I can say Hey Hai India,Innocent people will be killed and culprit and Influcent,,Leader will be out trust me this case nothing will be out come,This leaders will be out saying no Evidence.They should hv Fast court with a month this Corrupted leaders should charge,Other wise we all know wht will hapen to witness,Feel sorry for the family of witness govt,Should give them Protection ,but its other way round PCorrupted Politicians get Protection so they can do more crinme wht a joke IN India,, god bless India ,and save Innocent peiople,,Hope OUr PM ,Prsident open their eyes ,,,not just talking,,,,,,josh

    Sohrabuddin Case exposes that to what extent the Govt machineries can go to pin down an ordinary citizen. Amit Shah is dangerous if let loose hence his bail should be rejected.
